One product, one promise

We install one thing — and that focus is the point.

The Interlock® Lifetime Roofing System: interlocked aluminum panels manufactured in North America by Interlock Roofing Ltd. We are not a general roofing company that also offers metal. This system is all we do, and in Wisconsin we are the only company certified to install it.

Wisconsin is hard on an asphalt roof from every direction at once. The temperature crosses freezing forty-odd times a winter; water works into a shingle's mat, freezes, and takes the mat apart. Lake-effect snow lands wet and ice builds at the eaves. Then June brings hail and July brings a derecho. Aluminum has no mat and absorbs nothing, sheds snow instead of holding it, weighs 0.4–0.7 lb per square foot depending on profile under a snow load, and carries the highest impact rating a roof can hold, UL 2218 Class 4 verified via Intertek. Class A Fire Rated Available as a complete assembly, and every roof carries the Guardian Lifetime Limited Warranty, which transfers once when you sell.

Where we stand

No Wisconsin office, one system, twenty Wisconsin winters

1

One system

We install the Interlock® Lifetime Roofing System and nothing else — heavy-gauge aluminum panels manufactured by Interlock Roofing Ltd., locked on all four edges, fastened out of the weather. Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. is the certified and exclusive installer of that system in Wisconsin.

2

Since 2001, in Wisconsin since 2003

Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. was incorporated May 17, 2001 and BBB-accredited that October. The first Wisconsin roofs went on in 2003; there are 602 on record now, and a review record on GuildQuality that runs back through most of them. The first roofs we put on are still on.

3

No Wisconsin office

We say this plainly because a lot of roofing websites do not: there is no Wisconsin office. Crews and paperwork come from Roseville, Minnesota — four hours to Madison, four and a half to Milwaukee — and they have been making that drive for over twenty years. The service area is ten counties in the south and east of the state — Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Rock, Dane, Jefferson and Sheboygan. Outside them, ask; you will get a straight answer rather than a maybe.

4

Certification, checkable

Wisconsin does not license roofers as such; it certifies Dwelling Contractors through DSPS, and that certification is what lets a contractor pull a permit on a one- or two-family home under the Uniform Dwelling Code. Before any permit is pulled on your house, ask who is pulling it and under which credential, and check that number on the DSPS credential lookup — we will tell you at the estimate, in writing. The entity also holds contractor licenses in Minnesota (DLI RR431129) and Illinois (IDFPR 104.013389), both on the public registers.

Credentials

Licensed, certified, and accountable — in writing

Every claim on this page is checkable against a public record, a standards body, or the warranty document itself.

Credentials you can look up

Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. holds Minnesota Residential Roofer license RR431129 (DLI) and Illinois Roofing Contractor license 104.013389 (IDFPR), both on public registers and both printed in the footer here. In Wisconsin the relevant credential is DSPS Dwelling Contractor certification, which is what a permit on a one- or two-family home requires — at the estimate we tell you in writing who pulls your permit and under which credential, so you can check it on the DSPS lookup before the permit is pulled.

One certified product, described accurately

Heavy-gauge aluminum with up to 95% recycled content, 0.4–0.7 lb per square foot depending on profile, four-way interlocking panels with concealed fasteners, and the AAMA-certified Alunar® coating system. UL 2218 Class 4 impact rated, verified via Intertek, — the highest there is. Class A Fire Rated Available as a complete assembly. Minimum 3/12 roof slope on every profile.

Our own proof, nobody else's

Every photograph on this site is one of our Wisconsin installs with its invoice and install date on file, and every review is a GuildQuality-verified Wisconsin homeowner — 98 of them. Nothing is borrowed from another state's office to make the page look fuller.

A warranty that transfers

The Guardian Lifetime Limited Warranty covers the original homeowner for life and transfers once to the next owner, who is covered to 50 years from completion. Read the exclusions before you sign — ice damming is one of them, and we would rather you heard that from us than from the document.

FAQs

About us, answered directly

Who installs Interlock metal roofs in Wisconsin?

Interlock Metal Roofing – Wisconsin — legally Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. — is the certified and exclusive installer of the Interlock® Lifetime Roofing System in Wisconsin. There is no Wisconsin office; crews are dispatched from the entity's Roseville, Minnesota office, 2355 Fairview Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113.

How long have you been in business?

Since 2001. Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. was incorporated on May 17, 2001 and has been a BBB Accredited Business since October 1 of that year, with an A+ rating. The first Interlock roofs we installed in Wisconsin, in 2003, are still on the houses.

What credentials do you hold for work on my house?

Wisconsin has no roofing license as such. What a permit on a one- or two-family home requires is Dwelling Contractor certification under Wis. Stat. § 101.654, and Interlock Industries (Midwest) Inc. holds it: certification 2122-DCFR, with Dwelling Contractor Qualifier 031800075-DCQ. Both are on the DSPS credential lookup at license.wi.gov, and the company is registered to do business in Wisconsin with DFI (I020482). It also holds contractor licenses in Minnesota (DLI RR431129) and Illinois (IDFPR 104.013389).

Which parts of Wisconsin do you actually serve?

Ten counties in the south and east of the state: Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, Racine, Kenosha, Walworth, Rock, Dane (Madison), Jefferson (Watertown, Fort Atkinson) and Sheboygan. Most of our 602 installs are inside them. All of it is served from Roseville, MN. If you are somewhere else, call: we will tell you honestly whether the schedule works.

Who manufactures the roofing you install?

Interlock Roofing Ltd. The panels are heavy-gauge aluminum with up to 95% recycled content, weigh 0.4–0.7 lb per square foot depending on profile, interlock on all four edges and carry the Alunar® coating system. The manufacturer publishes its certifications at interlockroofing.com.

Why does an impact rating matter in Wisconsin?

Because southern Wisconsin's summer storms are why so many roofs from Madison to Waukesha are replaced twice in fifteen years. UL 2218 Class 4, verified via Intertek, is the highest impact rating a roof covering can hold. Ask your insurer what a Class 4 roof does to your premium — carriers differ, and we will not quote a number on their behalf.
